Riese & Müller brings German engineering precision to the cargo bike world. Where other brands optimise for price, R&M optimises for ride quality — full suspension, Bosch premium drivetrains, and build quality that justifies the higher price tags. Their cargo range is unusually diverse: the Load5 60 (€6,992) is a full-suspension longjohn with a massive 280 kg MGVW and 725 Wh battery, built for serious hauling. The Carrie2 City (€5,700) takes a completely different approach — a compact 20" wheeler with a front box, ideal for tight city streets. The Multitinker2 Family (€5,500) rounds out the lineup as a midtail that doubles as a child transporter and utility bike. R&M bikes cost more, but the suspension systems (especially on the Load5) make a real difference on cobblestones, kerbs, and rough city infrastructure. If your daily route includes poor road surfaces and you value comfort, R&M is worth the premium.
